For Carbon Removals Integrity

Our core technology accelerates the natural carbon cycle

VIOLON accelerates the carbon cycle through its CCU technology by directly capturing large amounts of CO2 emitted from industrial flue gases that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. The captured CO2 is converted into bicarbonate ions or bicarbonate salts and introduced into the microalgae cultivation system. Through biological carbon sequestration, CO2 is transferred from the atmosphere to the hydrosphere and ultimately into the biosphere. This accelerated natural carbon cycling process significantly delays the return of CO2 to the atmosphere.

Sustainability strategy

VIOLON’s CCU (Carbon Capture Utilization) and CDR (Carbon Dioxide Removal) technologies contribute to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with six goals receiving outstanding support, thereby assisting companies in achieving their ESG sustainability objectives:

Microalgae powder applications

  • High added value
  • High-quality feed protein source
  • Partially substitute fishmeal in aquafeed1

Ensure a reliable supply of quality food2

  1. Research conducted in collaboration with National Taiwan Ocean University indicates that it has high added value and can serve as a substitute for fishmeal.
  2. VIOLON implemented a contract farming program with fishers, successfully using its microalgae powder feed to cultivate economically valuable species such as milkfish, bass, grouper, shrimp, and clams. These products have been commercialized and sold, achieving “sustainable carbon recycling and utilization.”
